Riverwalking

Your guide will be there every step of the way to assist you in heightening your senses to all the sights, sounds, smells and textures of the river so you can experience nature in a unique way, wading in the scenic Ausable River.

Picture it now…you’re wading through an Adirondack river on a warm summer day. Feel the ever present flow of the river, the coolness of the water and the textures of the riverbed. Fluffy clouds are moving across a bright blue sky, the light plays on the water. You’re surrounded by lush greenery. The only sounds are the bubbling of the river and the birds calling out to each other.

RIVERWALKING

Riverwalking combines guided sensory activities with free time to explore on your own. It is a unique experience, inspired by the wellness practice of Forest Bathing. Discover how using your senses to engage with nature leads to effortless mindfulness, anchoring you in the here and now. Slow down, unplug… the river will do the rest.
“There is a big space between slowing down the pace of life and living time differently. As you move along Riverwalking, taking in the flowing water of the Ausable River and the High Peaks via your senses, you see things you could not see before. Great way to spend a reflective, “uber” relaxing morning in the Adirondacks!”
