Riverwalking
Riverwalking
Picture it now…you’re wading through an Adirondack river on a warm summer day. Feel the ever present flow of the river, the coolness of the water and the textures of the riverbed. Fluffy clouds are moving across a bright blue sky, the light plays on the water. You’re surrounded by lush greenery. The only sounds are the bubbling of the river and the birds calling out to each other.
RIVERWALKING
We have selected sections of the Ausable River with varying water levels and you always have the choice of shallower waters. The changing riverbed textures make navigation comfortable for people of varying abilities. A little balance, a little strength are needed. Riverwalking is suitable for children 10 years and up.
Make your family vacation or your romantic getaway more meaningful this summer. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Adirondacks with a Riverwalking experience.
RIVERWALKING
Riverwalking combines guided sensory activities with free time to explore on your own. It is a unique experience, inspired by the wellness practice of Forest Bathing. Discover how using your senses to engage with nature leads to effortless mindfulness, anchoring you in the here and now. Slow down, unplug… the river will do the rest.

“There is a big space between slowing down the pace of life and living time differently. As you move along Riverwalking, taking in the flowing water of the Ausable River and the High Peaks via your senses, you see things you could not see before. Great way to spend a reflective, “uber” relaxing morning in the Adirondacks!”
